GUANGZHOU – Chevrolet has launched efficient and stylish new variants of two of its popular models sold in China. The 2022 Menlo EV and Blazer 48V White Night Edition flagship SUV made their global debut at Auto Guangzhou 2021.

2022 Chevrolet Menlo EV

The 2022 Menlo EV sporty-looking sedan, the newest member of the brand’s first all-electric vehicle family launched in the domestic market in February 2020, has an improved electric range of up to 518 km on a single charge.

Its electricity consumption is 12.6 kWh/100 km. It offers the performance and styling that Chevrolet customers demand along with the efficiency that new energy vehicle owners expect.

The 2022 Menlo comes standard with Chevrolet’s new MyLink+ in-vehicle infotainment system with OnStar. It not only supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife, but also incorporates functions such as the upgraded iFlytek voice system, providing users with intelligent and convenient car connectivity services.

With safety as a priority, the 2022 Menlo comes standard with a range of advanced technologies, including Bosch’s 9.3 Electronic Stability Program with 17 safety subsystems, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert, Automatic Parking Assist and Collision Mitigation Braking.

The 2022 Menlo is available in three variants with six new exterior colors and two interior colors. They are priced from RMB 164,900 to RMB 179,900 after national subsidies for new energy vehicles. Customers will also enjoy 100G of free OnStar 4G LTE data service every year as well as an eight-year or 160,000-km warranty for the electric propulsion system and a general warranty of three years or 100,000 km.

Chevrolet Blazer 48V White Night Edition

Chevrolet’s flagship SUV in China, the Blazer mid-large SUV came to the domestic market in April 2020. The Blazer 48V White Night Edition is based on the nameplate’s top trim – the seven-seat Blazer 650T RS Twin-Clutch AWD featuring 48V mild hybrid technology – and is priced at RMB 333,900.

Inspired by the avant-garde design of Chevrolet’s FNR-CarryAll concept SUV, the Blazer 48V White Night Edition has a muscular design derived from the legendary Camaro sports car, providing a sense of power. The classic black-and-white color scheme has a distinct visual impact. It is accentuated by the Pearl White body, which is now available across the Blazer lineup. Its 21-inch six-spoke Y-shaped black wheels echo the black roof. The RS series’ exclusive black bowtie, black grille, black nameplate and exclusive RS red elements further add to the fashion statement and make it instantly recognizable.

The Blazer 48V White Night Edition comes with an Ecotec 2.0 intelligent variable cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers maximum power of 174 kW @ 5,600 rpm and maximum torque of 350 Nm @ 1,500-4,000 rpm. The engine is complemented by a nine-speed Hydra-Matic transmission and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.

The 48V mild hybrid system, consisting of a 48V motor, 48V power battery, power management module and hybrid control unit, has six working modes: Auto Start, E-boost, Smart Charge, Brake Energy Regeneration, E-idle and Smart Stop. The system ensures a more efficient, agile and smooth driving experience. It has combined fuel consumption of 7.1 liters/100 km.

Its new Chevrolet MyLink+ in-vehicle infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife, Bluetooth, OTA remote functional updates and iFlytek. In addition, it comes equipped with 13 intelligent safety technologies, such as a 360° high-definition panoramic video camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Parking Assist+, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Forward Distance Indicator, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Pedestrian Collision Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking.
